Terms of play

Playing Castle Color, local saves, resources and fair use.

Current status: Castle Color is in development. These pages describe this website and the current pre-release game. Final store builds, advertising settings and required disclosures will be reviewed before app-store launch.

These terms describe Castle Color, published by Anshul Sharma, India, under the Ritava brand. Support and privacy enquiries: anshul@ritava.in. The game is currently in development; these terms describe its current pre-release build.

1. Eligibility and agreement

The game is intended for players aged 13 and older. If you are below the age at which you can enter a binding agreement where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review these terms and authorise your use as required by local law. A content rating does not replace that requirement. If you do not agree, do not use the game.

The app store's applicable licence and distribution terms also apply. On iOS, Apple's Standard EULA applies where the publisher uses it. These gameplay terms do not replace mandatory platform terms or restrict rights that applicable consumer law gives you.

2. The game

The current campaign contains 250 sliding colour-tile puzzles and 25 treasure letters. First clears recover words; completing a set unlocks a letter and a clue leading to the next chapter. Timers, difficulty, resource costs and rewards are shown in the game where relevant. The story is fictional entertainment, not a promise of a real prize or a health or cognitive benefit.

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to play the game lawfully on a supported device. You may not redistribute the app or its protected assets, misrepresent it as your work or bypass its security or reward rules. These restrictions do not prohibit activities, accessibility adaptations, criticism or other uses that applicable law expressly permits.

3. Saves and device changes

Progress is stored on the device. There is currently no publisher-operated account, cloud save or guaranteed cross-device transfer. Uninstalling, clearing app storage, device failure or changing devices can remove progress. Platform backups may behave differently by device. We will investigate save issues, but cannot promise recovery of a local save we never received.

4. Tokens, powers and retries

Tokens, clocks and hammers are in-game resources. They cannot be redeemed for money, transferred to other players or used outside the game. The current game does not sell these items or offer paid subscriptions.

Resource spending is committed when a valid use occurs. Restarting or failing a puzzle does not return spent tokens, hammers, clocks or other consumed rewards. A restart gives a fresh attempt, not a restored inventory. Consecutive-win time bonuses reset under the game rules when the chain is broken. Completing an already rewarded puzzle does not generate another first-clear reward.

If resources are lost because of a verified technical error, contact support. The ordinary no-refund-on-retry rule does not remove remedies required by law or stop us from investigating a bug.

5. Advertising and daily rewards

Rewarded ads are optional. Core puzzle progression does not require a purchase or an ad. An ad reward is granted when the advertising service reports successful completion, subject to the stated offer and duplicate-prevention rules. An unavailable, failed or prematurely closed ad may not qualify. An “x2” offer adds one extra copy of the eligible original reward once; it does not multiply your entire inventory.

Daily chests contain fixed in-game gifts assigned to the reward sequence. They are not paid random loot boxes, betting or cash prizes. Daily sequence rules can reset after a missed day. See Ads and rewards for details.

You must not use bots, modified clients, false completion callbacks, repeated reward claims or deliberate device-clock manipulation to obtain unearned resources. We may correct an erroneous reward or address misuse proportionately, subject to applicable law.

6. Content and third-party rights

The game's original presentation, writing, code and artwork are protected where applicable. Public-domain story elements remain public domain; third-party components remain subject to their licences. The game uses an original interpretation of a traditional fairy tale and does not imply endorsement by a film studio, another game publisher or a platform provider. Third-party advertisements and external destinations are provided by their respective operators.

7. Updates and availability

We may fix bugs, tune difficulty, update content or change supported devices. We will give notice where applicable law requires it. Optional online features and ads depend on network and provider availability. We do not guarantee that the game will always be uninterrupted or error-free. If we discontinue a material service, we will provide notice and any remedies required by law.

8. Consumer rights and responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any mandatory consumer guarantees or remedies. To the extent law permits, we are not responsible for loss caused by your device, network or a third-party service outside our reasonable control. We remain responsible where applicable law makes us responsible. These terms do not impose a zero-liability clause, mandatory private arbitration or a waiver of collective rights.

9. Disputes, changes and contact

Please first contact anshul@ritava.in so we can try to resolve a problem. Mandatory laws and courts available to consumers in their home jurisdiction remain available. These terms do not require you to bring every claim in the publisher's country.

If we materially change these terms, we will provide an appropriate notice. New terms do not retroactively remove accrued statutory rights. Contact Anshul Sharma at anshul@ritava.in with questions.
